Hiya!

How are you doing guys? Hope to find you well after being absent for a while due to Dustbit's falling ill for the past week... I had to tend for him and had very little time and opportunity to create more content, however I am back again for more news on our Geek World! :)

This post is only to introduce you to a new Theme to be started on this blog, to show all you guys the Geek stuff me and Dustbit have lying around in our house! And we have sooo much to show you, from figure statues, collectibles, novelty artifacts and gaming characters. I am also going to ask my brother-in-law if he allows me to show you his huge collection of Lego constructions. I guarantee you will be overwhelmed, just like I was the very first time I entered his office. There are so many cool things to show you I am thrilled to get started. Just need my camera and let the fun begin. :) I will tweet you when my post is up, so stay tuned!

Boo plays… Overwatch or at least tries to :D

Hiya guys, I’m back!

Today I am going to post about one of the main reasons for me to start this blog, which was the game Overwatch.

Developed by Blizzard, Overwatch is a super fast, entertaining and engaging game, presenting to the gamer a diversified range of heroes to play, each of them with unique features. Just like some other games each team assembled should ideally enclose at least one healer, one tank, and one sniper or damage dealers, so that the damage/tactics inflicted on the other team is maximized.

For each class, there are several heroes available to be chosen, according to the preference of the player. Also, each character has a background story, which for some of them can be consulted on Youtube or comics launched by Blizzard, and supports the type of gameplay for that character. Another curiosity is that the scenarios for the battles set place around the World, and are related to each one of the heroes.

That’s it for the intro, now more about my experience with it.

When I first had contact with this game I didn’t quite enjoy it, as it seemed to be very disorienting, confusing and too fast for my eyes to follow. However, recently I have been watching Dustbit playing it almost daily and I have just one word for it: AWESOME.

Hiya!!! Welcome to my Thoughts Cloud.

Thoughts Cloud makes you able to see my opinion on something, be it a game, a series or something else.
But what is it and how does it work you're asking? It's pretty simple actually :)

Every time I play a game or watch an episode of an anime or a movie I register a phrase to describe my experience with it. Like a Tag Cloud, most used expressions slowly become bigger and they can be used to describe my overall experience with which is associated with the cloud. Sounds awesome right? I'm hyped to keep it updated, and share all my experience with you guys!

Boo goes to... FFXV Premiere

So yesterday I went to the IGN Premiere of Final Fantasy XV on a local movie theater armed only with a quick overview of what a Chocobo and a Moogle are, during morning shower.

Well, that and the most obvious information that this is actually the fifteenth game of the Final Fantasy series (without counting the multiple games about the same world like XIII or so I was told :P).

So let's start from the beginning.

From what I understand Chocobos are the horse equivalents of the Final Fantasy World, while Moogles are a race of cute little things (that say 'Kupo') which take care of things like being a mailman among others.

With this in mind, me and my overly excited boyfriend took haste to the event after a regular work day, ready to stay inside a movie theater full of FFF (Final Fantasy Fans) for the next 3,5 hours (Damn, I should've gone to the bathroom first...).

KittyBoo, Who Are You?

Hiya!

My name is KittyBoo and I'm a 24yo girl who was recently introduced to the fantastic world of Geekyness!

For almost my entire life I've been always oblivious of this world as I never showed interest in stuff like gaming, comics, technology or anime. All of that slipped past me as I carried on through all these years idled from what meant to be a geek and all the crazy feelings and fun one can get from it.

But everything changed when I found my one and only person who happens to be shoulder's deep into gaming and geek stuff. While he changed my life on the most worderful way, he also introduced me to this whole new world and it has been a wild ride ever since. Now I'm starting to understand geek jokes and laugh like crazy, experiencing many things that I didn't even know existed and that I enjoyed so much!

(And did I already mention there's tons of fluffy and kawaii (cute in japanese, it's a foreign adjective widely used in the anime world) stuff everywhere? :D)

So the reason why we decided to start this page is simply for me to state my discovery process in this new life, now that I moved in together with my person. This could be the title of a story because Boo Moves To Geekland pretends to explain exactly the adventures of Boo (myself) while moving to a new home which breathes geekyness from every corner (more on that later) ;)

I hope you enjoy following me through this journey. If you're a Geek yourself, you might laugh as one guy at Comic-con when I said Koopa and Yoshi were the same or because I have just discovered what "noob" and "kawaii" means; if you're a Geek wannabe, you might identify with me and maybe, learn things you didn't know; and even if you don't care about any of this, you would like to stay tuned because who knows? You may be just like me, who never thought would love this life so much.
