Boo plays… Overwatch or at least tries to :D

November 27, 2016

Hiya guys, I’m back!

Today I am going to post about one of the main reasons for me to start this blog, which was the game Overwatch.

Developed by Blizzard, Overwatch is a super fast, entertaining and engaging game, presenting to the gamer a diversified range of heroes to play, each of them with unique features. Just like some other games each team assembled should ideally enclose at least one healer, one tank, and one sniper or damage dealers, so that the damage/tactics inflicted on the other team is maximized.

For each class, there are several heroes available to be chosen, according to the preference of the player. Also, each character has a background story, which for some of them can be consulted on Youtube or comics launched by Blizzard, and supports the type of gameplay for that character. Another curiosity is that the scenarios for the battles set place around the World, and are related to each one of the heroes.

That’s it for the intro, now more about my experience with it.

When I first had contact with this game I didn’t quite enjoy it, as it seemed to be very disorienting, confusing and too fast for my eyes to follow. However, recently I have been watching Dustbit playing it almost daily and I have just one word for it: AWESOME.

http://charlottechambers.deviantart.com/I love everything about Overwatch, the heroes are down right goddamn cute, very well designed and characterised, their sayings catchy (Heroes never die! – my favourite one)  and entertaining, and the scenarios are just perfect and detailed.

I liked it so much that I wanted to try it myself… And it was a complete disaster. L I am not familiarised with playing these kind of games (FPS which stands for First person shooter btw) nor with using the WSAD and the mouse at the same time, so in a game where coordination is a must and reflexes must be lightning fast, clearly it didn’t work out.

I died almost instantly every time and even when the enemies were not focused on me, only the walls ended up getting shot :P. Dustbit trying to maintain at least a bit of dignity ended playing the remaining of the game, as I decided to quit and go crying to a corner…

Oh the depression!!!… Seriously guys, can you understand the frustration of wanting to do something and just can’t succeed because you lack the dexterity needed? So far, I can only get my daily dose of Overwatch by watching somebody else play it. One day, I know I will be able to make it as well, even if it’s just a 1000 years from now J Guess I’ll just try some other simpler game in offline mode, maybe rescue a princess (Mario??) or something really BASIC for any gamer of its name, but hey I got to start from somewhere right? And it’s not like there is not plenty of simpler awesome games too. ;)

Soooooooo stay tuned for more news on this subject as I’ll soon post some reviews on the Overwatch awesomely cute heroes!

Xoxo,

KittyBoo
